Today I'm sharing with you the simple graduation card I made for my son. His eight grade promotion ceremony was this past week. He sometimes read my blog so I couldn't post it here sooner.
I used the new stamp set called Gorgeous Grunge. I started with smoky slate card stock for my base card. The main panel is 4" x 5.25" whisper white card stock. I stamped the lines using coastal cabana ink and the dot splatter were stamped using island indigo ink. Then I added the gray washi tape across the front of the card. Washi tapes are great alternative to ribbons.
The sentiment was stamped with island indigo ink on a white cardstock that was die cut with the Apothecary Accents dies. I stamped the bigger splatters over the sentiment using coastal cabana ink. I sponged the edges of both the main panel and sentiment label with smoky slate ink. My son likes bling, so I had to include them on his card.
I really like the new smoky slate color, made me forget that lucky limeade is retired. Thanks for stopping by today.
Cheers!!!
